A Halloween-Cemetery can include ghosts, rustling leaves shadows that move, skeletons, skeletal like people, tombstones, dead like trees or tree stumps. Leaving a little for the imagination will create the best scary scene. Sudden unexpected moving or sounds like clapping thunder and cold gusts of wind help the effect.

The History of ">Halloween-Cemetery is interesting.

One of the most prominent of fixtures in your Cemetery is the tombstone or headstone. The Halloween stores featured on this page all carry the Styrofoam type stones but you are limited in size and scope.

For the larger tombstone you will have to make them or buy them from someone that does. The YouTube video below is the basics on making Styrofoam tombstones.

Tombstones made from fabric

Halloween-Cemetery

These are the ones I make. Effective but not extreme. I like them because they lay down flat and store easily without taking up much space.

The HOW TO MAKE TOMBSTONE instructions.

I usually group my ghosts around the tombstone to light them.

To pull the entire Halloween grave yard scene together I add some ground breaking commercially available skeletons and extra bones I purchased a rising from the grave(remote control or movement activated) hooded skeletal to add a little "fright" factor. This piece was inexpensive and didn't work exactly as it should but it scared a couple of kid enough so they made a detour around the cemetery after they got caught by surprise by the pop up prop.

ADDING TREES OR STUMPS

If you don't have trees readily available in the spot where you are putting your cemetery - make some.

Cut some fairly good size tree branches, cut off all the small twigs and extra branches giving you just 3 to 5 good branches one the limbs. To support these branches upright put them in Christmas tree stands securely. Wrap the branches with purple or orange lights ( I use purple) and secure to the ground with at least 12 inch metal stakes.

COMPLETING THE BACKGROUND

GHOST SCREENIf your Cemetery scene has windows in the backgroud you can make A GHOST SCREEN to complete the picture or purchase a A Holiday projector to make a witch or ghosts fly across the background.
