The spider-web is made with a chain created with a crochet hook or manually.

The “spokes” of the spider web are made extra long to accommodate the diameter of whatever you are securing the web to.

The instructions given are relative to where you will install them and what you are tying them to. The webbing or “spokes” can change to accommodate your individual needs.

MATERIALS LIST FOR THE Spider-Web

1 SKEIN OF YARN OR STRING.

Fabric glue

CROCHET HOOK, SIZE “G”

MAKING THE WEB

Chain with your crochet hook or manually 4, 4 yard chains.

Chain with your crochet hook or manually 1, 8 yard chain.

ASSEMBLING THE WEB

Find the center of each of the 4 yard chains. Using the same material as with the chain, tie off all four chains together.

Spread the “spokes” out on a table with a slick surface until they are equal distances apart.

Starting at the center with the 8 foot chain, spiral outward until the entire length of the 8 foot piece is used. Make sure the end of the chain end at a spoke. Work backward to “fit” the webbing in equally.

Put a small dab of fabric glue at each spoke/web connection and let dry according to glue directions.

When dry, tie each spoke/web intersection tightly with the same string used for the chains and cut short.

The web is done and ready for hanging.

The four yard spokes make a 4 foot web. The formula for making a smaller or larger web is:

Spokes length * 2 = webbing length.

Add a large hairy spider or if you web is big enough a pose able 8 foot spider. Try hanging just above the web in your trees with a spider with glowing eyes
